Gli "Ahoora" sono nati nel 2001, a Tehran, capitale di un paese islamico radicale chiamato Iran. La band ha registrato la propria prima demo nel 2004, senza ottenere la licenza da parte del ministero della cultura islamica dell'Iran: come rompere ciò che è già rotto!

Nel maggio del 2005 gli "Ahoora" si sono esibiti nel loro primo concerto ufficiale, la prima performance metal di sempre con parti vocali in Iran. La band ha suonato due set, brani degli "Iced Earth" durante la prima parte e nella seconda 4 pezzi propri che saranno stati poi inclusi nell'album di debutto. Tuttavia gli "Ahoora" sono stati costretti a cancellare la seconda data.

Il 13 di febbraio del 2006 ha visto l'uscita dell'omonimo album di debutto, vietato in Iran. Sebbene il lavoro possa essere considerato un evento unico nel panorama musicale iraniano, i commenti dall'estero sono stati più decisi. Ultimate Metal lo ha definito "tosto, vero heavy metal", mentre il Metal Observer ha scritto: "stanno percorrendo un'ottima strada, padroni dei loro strumenti".

La band ha incontrato la critica straniera ed è stata anche invitata a suonare all'Evergreen Music Festival, a Washington DC; non vi ha potuto partecipare a causa delle severe leggi d'uscita. Il succesivo concerto in occasione del loro primo album è stato cancellato dalle autorità nel settembre del 2006, che non hanno permesso alla band di eseguire l'intero album per i fan dichiarando il gruppo completamente fuorilegge. Durante la registrazione del secondo album, la band ha perso l'occasione di esibirsi all'edizione 2008 del famoso Metal Camp. L'idea è stata scoraggiata dalle leggi d'espatrio iraniane.

"All in Blood with You" è uscito il 30 settembre del 2007 ed è stato un passo in avanti sotto vari punti di vista, come sottolinea il Metal Observer: "sono tornati con All in Blood with You e hanno senza dubbio fatto molti progressi". Ultimate Metal lo ha definito "un incredibile lavoro cui tutti dovrebbero dare un'occhiata" mentre Progressive Rock&Metal lo ha descritto come "un sorprendente, magnifico capolavoro metal".

Nel 2009, gli "Ahoora" continuano il lovo viaggio con nuove composizioni ed un nuovo difficile obiettivo: migrare

 

Ahoora was formed late 2001, in Tehran, the capital of an extreme Islamic country called Iran. The band recorded its first demo tape back in 2004, due to gain permission from the culture ministry of Islamic Iran: breaking the broken!

In May 2005 Ahoora played its first official gig, the first metal performance ever with vocals parts in Iran. The band played two sets, First: Iced Earth songs & the 2nd set included four Ahoora songs that later were heard on the debut album. Ahoora was forced to cancel the second night though.

February 13th 2006, saw the self titled debut album came out as a forbidden release in Iran. Although the release can be analyzed as a unique event in Iranian music scene, the foreign feedbacks have always been stronger. Ultimate Metal called it "hard-hitting, true heavy metal", while The Metal Observer wrote "They are walking a very fine line, very fit on their instruments".

The band experienced some international critic and also was invited to play at Evergreen Music Festival in Washington D.C; missed because of the strict exit laws. The late concert in support of the first release was cancelled by the authorities in September 2006, left no chance to perform the whole length album for the fans and made "Ahoora" a completely banned act. Throughout the recording of the second album, the band missed the chance of performing at ’07 version of famous Metal Camp. The idea was shut down thanks to the Exit laws of Iran.

"All in Blood with You" came out September 30th, 2007 which has been a major step forwards in many ways, as The Metal Observer believes: "they are back with "All In Blood with You" and they have definitely made a big step forward in many ways". Ultimate Metal called it "an incredible release that everyone should check out" while Progressive Rock&Metal described it as "A surprisingly quality metal masterpiece".
